MORTEN VEST


Born 1956, Denmark. Filmmaker and graphic designer. Holds an M.A. in architecture, specialized in visual communications. Has worked as a still photographer, graphic designer and art director of exhibitions and campaigns. Has lived and worked in New Zealand, Greece and Africa.


Shot and directed four documentaries in Africa:

The Redeemed (2018) Selected for amo CPH:DOX. Masai on the Move (2010), (with Robin Schmidt). Selected for amo IDFA's Mid-length competition and Mumbai International Film Festival. Screened on Danish National TV, DR2, Rai Uno, Tanzania National TV and plus 10 other European and overseas channels.

The Development Amateur (2011). Screened on Danish National TV, DR1 primetime.

Welcome to Loliondo (2013) premiered on DR2 authum 2013. Selected for amo. MIFF and ZIFF (Special mention).


Co author of En zebra er et æsel med striber, a travelling photostudio in East Africa, and Støvlerne Under Sengen, perception in architecture seen through fascist architecture (with Uwe Bødewadt).
